Generational Changes

During the economic depression of the 1930’s, individuals and families around the globe experienced extreme hardship. Most coped emotionally, a few did not.

This time around, those odds are liable to be somewhat different, thanks largely to cultural changes. Over the span of years between then and now, we have become an ever more material world. We have been marketed to, conditioned, propagandized…take your pick…to the point that unless you ‘make it’ materially, keeping up with some elusive standard that you will never quite attain, you will feel somewhat less ‘The Man’ or, in the female world, some ‘Super-Mom’, Sarah Palin clone.

Don’t let them condition you thus.

You are not the sum of what you own. Neither are you what you do.

You are much more than that.
