The Magna Carta

Thanks to James Rawles at SurvivalBlog for posting this clause from the Magna Carta (Latin for the Great Charter):

“To none will we sell, to none deny or delay, right or justice.” – The Magna Carta, Clause 40, 1215

The Magna Carta, originally completed in 1215, is still supposed to be the foundation for the laws that British spawned nations fall under, including the U.S.   The  document limited the power of Kings over  subjects, recognized that our basic rights of freedom come directly from God, and are therefore above limitation by ANY government.  It also established a legal basis for the right to own private property which is in all but the most extreme case ‘untouchable’ by the state.

It also severely limited the ability of Kings (or any government) to imprison anyone without informing the accused of what the charge is, allowing the accused to see the evidence against him, and ensuring the right of the accused to defend himself against the charge(s) to a jury of his peers.  This is known legally as habeas corpus.  It is what has been denied to anyone The Gang labels a terrorist, including the million or so now on the no-fly list with no reasons given them, and no opportunity to clear their name.

This is the fork in the road where a lot of well-meaning folks lose their way.  While The Gang tells you that they will only deny these basic freedoms and rights to ‘the bad guys’, the truth of the matter is that every single time this version of tyranny has visited prior to this time…YOUR freedoms and rights came next, now with the precedent that you allowed.

It is a scientific Fascism, once more upon the earth.  It is the merging of scientific, corporate and political power (the definition of fascism).  It is about control…over you…in all matters including freedom, life, and death.

It recognizes no national boundary.

It is tyrannical.

It is evil.

Turn away from them, and their ways.

Starve the Beast.
